Meringue:
6 eggs whites, beaten stiff
Slowly add 1 cup sugar
Fold in: 24 crushed saltines, 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 2 tsp. vanilla, and 2 cups finely chopped pecans.

Filling: 2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese, softened. 2 c. powdered sugar, 2 cups of whipped cream (2 cups before whipped) or one container of whipped topping.

Draw 4 8-inch circles on parchment paper. Turn over onto cookie sheets and use lines as guides. Smooth out white mixture evenly onto circle pattern. Bake at 325 for 30 min. - watch so it doesn't burn. Timing will depend on layer thickness.
Let cool.

Cream cheese filling:
Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar. Fold in whipped cream.

Slice strawberries (about a container and a half fresh berries).
Assemble cake - meringue layer, cream cheese mix, layer of sliced berries, repeat until out of meringues.
