1/3 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
3 t. instant coffee
2 T. cornstarch
2 1/2 c. milk
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 t. vanilla extract
1/2 c. chocolate syrup
1/2 c. Irish whiskey
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped

In a 1 1/2 qt microwave proof casserole, mix together sugar, salt, coffee and cornstarch. Stir in milk. Microwave 7 minutes on high, uncovered, stirring every 3 minutes until thickened. Stir about half of the thickened mixture into beaten egg yolks. Return mixture to casserole, blending well. Microwave 3 to 5 minutes on high, stirring every minute. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in vanilla, chocolate syrup & whiskey. Fold in whipped cream. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes 4 1/2 cups.
