Ingredients:
Potatoes peeled, how many you want!
1/4c. butter
1/4c. flour
milk and cream
1 onion sliced thinly
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Slice peeled potatoes, thinly and mix with your thinly sliced onions. Arrange a few to cover the bottom of your greased glass casserole dish. Sprinkle flour(approx.2 tbsp) and dot with butter(1 tbsp to make about 6 dots) Continue on by adding another layer of potatoes and then sprinkle flour and dot butter again. Continue this layering process until no more potatoes left. Dot with butter on top, salt and pepper. Pour in cream (approx. 1c.) and then milk just so you see the milk/cream coming to top of the potatoes, approx 3/4 to top. Have potatoes "sitting in the milk not swimming" according to Grandma. If pressed for time, cook in microwave until boiling and then put in 325 ºF oven for 60 min. or until they looked cooked. Otherwise cook in oven for 2 hours at 325º. May boil over so put a cookie sheet under part way through cooking.

Personal Notes:
Grandma didn't always put onion in as Todd didn't like onions. Then she would add onion salt instead. Grandma recommends if making a lot, put them in 2 smaller containers so they have less chance to boil over.
