1 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
13/4 cups flour
21/2 cups old-fashioned or quick oats
3/4 cup each chocolate chunks and plain M & Ms
1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Beat butter and sugars in a bowl on medium speed until fluffy
Beat in eggs, vanilla, baking soda and salt
With mixer on low speed, beat in flour to blend
Stir in oats, 1/2 cup each of chocolate and M & Ms, and 3/4 cup of pecans
Drop heaping tablespoons 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets
Stick the remaining chocolate chunks, M & Ms and pecans into tops of cookies
Bake 10-12 minutes until golden brown
Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to a wire rack to cool
