3 cans whole green beans
3 slices bacon
1/2 small onion, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Put the beans with their liquid in a saucepan
Cook uncovered on medium heat for 30-45 minutes
Meanwhile fry the bacon, remove to drain and cook the onion in remaining bacon grease until golden
The beans are ready when the liquid has cooked down
Stir in the crumbled bacon and onion
