½ cup butter or Crisco
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon hot water
½ cup moist peanut butter
1¾ cups sifted flour
½ teaspoon baking soda in hot water
¼ teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar and cream well. Add egg, water and peanut butter. Mix all dry ingredients together, and slowly add them to the creamed mixture. Bake 10 - 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
