1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
3 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
4 large eggs (beaten)
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp almond flavoring (optional)-when mom put optional, she didn't use it.
1 pt sour cream
1 cup walnuts (chopped)
1 cup cherries (chopped)
2 cups white raisins
2 oranges squeezed or 3/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 jiggers whiskey or 1/4 cup

Directions:
****Heat fruits and nuts for 5 minutes in 350º oven prior to adding to mixture
****When ready to bake cake oven should be at 325º
>Cream butter, margarine, sugar....
>Add eggs, vanilla, and (almond flavoring)
>Add dry ingredients alternately with the flour mixture-sour cream
>Add nuts, cherries, raisins
>Pour in 10 inch tube pan
>Bake for 1 1/2 hour at 325º-350º
****Leave in pan, while still hot, pour on cake the following juice mixture:
2 oranges -squeeze juice or 3/4 cup prepared orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
2 Jiggers of whiskey or 1/4 cup
****Let cake dry in pan 12 - 24 hours
