1 pound pork sausage
1 cup chopped onion
1 28-ounce can tomatoes, undrained
1 4-ounce can chopped green chilies, undrained
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2/3 cup self-rising flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons sugar
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°. Brown sausage and onions together and drain. Add tomatoes, green chilies, corn, garlic powder and chili powder. Spoon this into a lightly greased baking dish and set aside.
Now to create the perfect cornbread topping: Stir together your cornmeal, flour, salt and sugar. In a separate bowl combine your egg, milk and oil. Add to the dry ingredients; Pour this cornbread mixture over the sausage mixture and bake for 40 minutes. Hide and watch – this one is sure to become a family favorite!
