3 egg whiteS
1 c. sugar
salt
6 oz butterscotch morsels
1 c. pecans or walnuts

CHILL bowl and beaters
Beat three egg whites til firm. Add sugar and pinch of salt. Fold in butterscotch and pecans. Drop by 1 teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheets.
I use parchment paper on the cookie sheet; makes a big difference.
Preheat oven to 350º. Put meringues in oven and turn oven off. Let sit several hours (overnight). Store in airtight containers.

I love this recipe and you can put anything in the meringues. Mom liked Andes mints.
