2/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1 medium onion, minced
1 pkg. party rye rounds

Mix ingredients well. Heap on party rye bread. Bake at 400 F. for 12 minutes. Note: Can be frozen and stored in a ziplock bag and used as needed.

Alice Rechenmacher was a family friend in Naperville and always had a good joke to tell during cocktail hour! Whenever I would serve these in the South, I would always add a few shots of Tobasco Sauce as suggested by Miss Jim Pilkington.
