1 cup mashed potatoes
1 cup milk, scalded
2 cakes of yeast
2 eggs
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
4-5 cups of flour to make a soft dough

Directions:
Directions:
Mix mashed potatoes and scaled milk. When it has cooled add the remaining ingredients to form a soft dough. Let raise in a warm place, kneel down and let raise again. Roll out and cut dough. Let raise again to double in size. Fry in hot lard. Frost with powdered sugar frosting with maple flavoring.
