2 c. scalded milk
2 T. salt
4 c. flour - add 2 c.
5 T. sugar
2 yeast - whipped in
5 T. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Scald shortening and water. Add milk. Cool. Add yeast, salt, sugar. Beat together. Add flour - sponge rise. Add flour. Knead. After it has risen, sieve of flour. Cover with lid. Doubles in bulk. Cover with shortening. Put into pans. Bake for 1 hour at 400º F (350º F)
