1 lb fresh aspargus spears
1 tbsp. butter
Dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Snap off aspargus spears in the middle where they are tender. Place tender top spears in a saute pan and add a little water. Bring to a boil (a few minutes), until they start to get tender. Drain, place back on low heat. Add butter and pepper. Let saute on low heat, serve immediately.

To snap the aspargus, hold on each end and snap, it will break at the tender point. Keep only the spears, which are most tender. Discard the stems.
