Wash green peanuts thoroughly. Add to a large pot that is 1/2 full of water. Sprinkle heavily with salt and cover. Bring to a rapid hard boil and continue boiling for 2-1/2 to 3 hours. You may have to add additional salt and water during cooking time. Taste peanuts several times during cooking to test for tenderness and taste.
