1 package coleslaw or broccoli slaw
1 package Oriental flavor Ramen noodles
1 package sliced or slivered almonds
1 thinly sliced green onion (optional)
3 tbsp. sesame seeds (optional)
2 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. plain or apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put coleslaw and onions in a serving bowl.

2. Mix flavor packet from the Ramen noodles with sugar, vinegar, and oil. Mix until sugar is dissolved (mixture is translucent).

3. Pour this mixture over the slaw and let it marinate at least 2 hours to overnight in the refrigerator.

4. Before serving, crush the Ramen noodles in a plastic bag.

5. Lightly roast the almonds and sesame seeds in a non-stick skillet on medium. Stir frequently for 5 - 10 minutes

6. Cool the nuts and sesame seeds and add to the ramen noodles in the plastic bag, shake to mix.

7. Just before serving, pour the contents of the bag (Ramen noodles, almonds and sesame seeds) into the coleslaw and stir.

Editor's Note: I omitted my version of this salad because it is virtually the same, except I use napa cabbage and more green onion. Shredded leftover chicken can also be added to this to make a main dish salad.
