Pudding:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
5 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
3 tbsp. cinnamon
2 cups chopped beef suet
1 box raisins

Sauce:
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1 cup water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup flour

Pudding:

Beat 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, and 1 cup buttermilk together. Set aside.

Mix together 5 cups flour, 1 tsp. soda, and 3 tsp. cinnamon. Add suet and raisins. Add milk mixture.

Dampen a 27X27 white cloth and dust with flour. Pour batter into cloth. Tie securely. Place cloth into a large pot of boiling water. Boil pudding for 2 1/2 hours. Cool slightly and peel cloth away from pudding.

Sauce:
In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, 1 cup water, sugar, butter, salt and vanilla. Bring to a boil. Whisk together 2/3 cup water and 1/2 cup flour. Add to saucepan when the milk mixture comes to a boil. Continue to whisk and boil until sauce is thick and creamy.

Slice pudding and spoon generous amount of sauce over the top.
