2 c brown sugar
1/2 c butter, softened
2 eggs
3 c flour
1 t baking soda
1 t cream of tartar
1 t vanilla
1/2 c nuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl, cream together, sugar and butter until smooth. Add egg mixing well. In small bowl combine flour, soda, and tartar; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture. Add vanilla and nuts.

Roll in waxed paper - refrigerate at least overnight. Slice thinly. Place on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 450º for 8 minutes.
