3/4 c butter
1 c sugar
1 egg
3 egg yolks in 1 c rich milk (cream)
1 t vanilla
Meringue:
3 egg whites
3 T sugar
2 t lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs until smooth. Add yolk and milk mixture and vanilla, mix until well blend. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

To Make Meringue: In a large mixing bowl, whip egg whites until foamy. Add sugar gradually, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form. Spread meringue over pie

Bake 350º for about 12 minutes
