1 c. Shortening
1 c. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 egg
1 c. Molasses, dark
1 tbsp. Vinegar
5 c. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Thoroughly mix cream, shortening, sugar and salt. Stir in egg, molasses, vinegar and beat well. Sift together all dry ingredients and stir into the molasses mixture, you will need to use hands to mix it all well. Chill 4-6 hours or overnight. Roll dough 1/8 inch thick and cut out cookies. Bake at 375º for 6 minutes.
