Ingredients:  
Prepare, bake and cool a 9 inch pie with pastry
3/4 lb. dried sour cherries
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. almond liquor
1 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Put sour cherries and 1 1/2 c. water into a 2 qt. pan
Bring to boil
Let simmer for 10 minutes
Beat 1/2 c. water, cornstarch and sugar together
Stir into the above cherry mixture
Stir and cook until thickens, clears and boils plus 1 minute longer
Stir in almond liquor and butter
Remove from heat
Pour into pie shell
Let cool and serve (If desired you can take 1 Tbsp. water and 1/4 tsp. of almond flavor rather than 2 Tbsp. of almond liquor)
