3-4 lb. chicken
10 c. chicken broth
1 c. onion, finely chopped
6 medium carrots, peeled & cut into 1/2 in. pieces
4 medium celery stalks, cut into 1 in. pieces
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 tsp. pepper
8 oz. broad egg noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Cover chicken with broth and add all ingredients except noodles. Bring to a boil over high heat. Partially cover; reduce heat to low simmer for one hour until chicken is tender, but not falling off the bone. Skim fat every 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Take chicken off bones. Stir in noodles and add chicken. Remove bay leaf. Serve.
