1 C. Butter, divided
2 Tbsp. Garlic Salt, divided
2 Tbsp. Paprika, divided
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Onion, cut in half
12 oz. can of Beer
4 pound whole Chicken (washed and patted dry with paper towel)

Directions:
Preheat an outdoor grill on medium heat.
In a small skillet, melt 1/2 C. butter, Mix in 1 Tbsp. garlic salt, 1 Tbsp. paprika, salt and pepper.
Discard half the beer (go ahead and drink it), leave the remaining half in the can.
Add the remaining butter, garlic salt and paprika to the beer can. Give it a gentle swirl to mix.
Place the can on a disposable foil baking sheet (pie pan).
Place the cut onion in the cavity of the chicken and set the chicken over the can of beer. The can of beer will literally be in the butt of the chicken.
Baste the chicken with the melted seasoned butter.
Place the baking sheet with the beer and chicken on the prepared grill. Baste the chicken periodically while it is cooking.
Cook over low heat for about 1-1/2 hours, or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear.
