4 packages cornbread
1/2 loaf of white bread
1 cooked hen (shredded)
hen's broth
1 stick of butter
3-4 boiled eggs
large bowl of chopped green onions
2 c. celery
salt & pepper

For gravy-
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup

In a large bowl, mix up the white bread into the cooked cooled cornbread. Add 1/2 of the cooked shredded hen into the dressing.
Sauté the onion and celery in the butter then add the chopped up hen to the cornbread mixture along with a lot of pepper and a little salt. Add the broth from the hen leaving very moist and bake n a large aluminum pan for 15-20 minutes at 350. You don't want it to dry out, it should be soft.

For gravy sauté the green onion and celery in butter, then add flour and turkey broth, mixing until it's as thick as you like. You can substitute 1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup for the flour if you like. Add the other 1/2 of the shredded hen, sliced boiled eggs, discard the yolk. Bring to simmer adding salt and pepper as needed.

This dressing is hard to beat! Makes my mouth water thinking about it!
The black pepper is what makes it, so don't skimp on it!
