1 9oz-jar grape leaves
4 medium onions, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
3 TBS olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground lamp
2/3 c uncooked regular rice
3 cloves garlic crushed
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp snipped mint leaves or 1/2 tsp dried mint leaves
1 1/2 c water
3 eggs
3 TBS fresh lemon juice

Directions:
Wash and drain grape leave. Cook onions with 1-tsp salt in oil until tender. Mix halved cooked onions with meat, rice 1 tsp salt the pepper and mint. Place rounded tablespoons of meat in center of double layer of grape leaves. Fold stem ends over filling; fold in sides. Roll up tightly palace seam side down in a 12- inch skillet. Repeat with remaining meat mixture and grape leaves. Add water and remaining cooked onions into pan. Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer until tender 55 minutes. Drain & reserve broth.
Beat eggs until thick & lemon colored, slowly and lemon juice. Add enough broth from cooking to measure 1 c gradually sir into egg mixture. Pour over grape leave simmer uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes Garnish with lemon slices.
