Grated Yukon potatoes -- do not drain .
1 Tbsp of cream of wheat .
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
Enough flour to make a soft dough

Directions:

Scrape the dough off a plate in small quantities -aprox. 1 tbsp a a time into hot boiling. Work quickly . .
Boil the bits of dough (called holusky ) 7-10 min.
Drain the holusky and add butter .

Fry the cabbage and then add the Holusky to the cabbage .

I know -I know - I know .
But if your into "fast and absence" as were all European Catholics on Friday this was filling and also satisfying . It does taste better than it sounds . If in doubt fry the cabbage in some bacon fat and enjoy it that way. Watch out for your arteries!!!!!!!!!
