1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/4 cup cooking oil

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Add eggs, milk and oil.

Beat just until smooth (do not overbeat).

Turn into a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan or large round cast iron skillet.

Bake in a 425 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.

Stick with toothpick. The cornbread is ready when the toothpick pulls out clean.
