1 c margarine
1 c cold coffee
2 eggs beaten together
1 t soda for raisins
1 t baking powder
3 c flour
1 t nutmeg and cinnamon each
1 c raisins, with soda and hot water then drained
1 c walnuts
Sift dry ingredients except soda and add to creamed mix.

Mix raisins and walnuts in some of the flour so they do not sink to the bottom. Mix together. Put in a 9 x 13 and bake til it tests done. Bake at 350º oven.
Frosting
2 c brown sugar
2 c cream
pinch salt
2 T white syrup
Bring to a boil and turn to a lower heat and to soft ball stage. Beat and when at the right consistency frost the cooled cake.
