1 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
1 Tbsp corn syrup (maybe extra)
3 Tbsp water
1-2 cups nuts (optional)
1 lb of chocolate bars or chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter. Add sugar, water and corn syrup. Cook 300º F to 350º F using candy thermometer. Stir occassionally until hard crack 300º F stage (at least). Add vanilla.

Melt 1/2 of the chocolate in bottom of a pan, then add the toffee, then top with the remaining chocolate (it will melt once on the toffee). Spread the chocolate evenly over toffee as it melts. Refrigerate.
