Ingredients:  
2 cups of tomato juice or tomato's canned with juice
1 1/2 t soda
1/2 t salt and dash of pepper
1 T butter

Directions:
Directions:
Add soda to tomatoes. Add salt and butter and heat together until it foams. In another pan add 3 cups of milk and warm this. Slowly add mild to tomato mix and heat til really hot. Serve with bread not crackers.

Frequently had this in Madison if Dad was not along as Dad was not fond
