Ingredients:  
1 C. chopped walnuts
2 C. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 C. milk
1 egg beaten
2 T. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Boil nutmeats in water for 5 minutes then drain and cool.
Sift dry ingredients together. Combine milk, egg, shortening and nuts.
Then add to dry ingredients. Stir until mixed, do not over mix. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake until lightly browned. Approximately 1 hour at 350º.
