1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
lg. jar maraschino cherries
6 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup condensed milk

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and cocoa and set aside. Beat butter until softened. Add sugar, salt, baking powder and soda. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until well combined. Gradually add flour mixture.
Shape dough into 1" balls. Place on cookie sheet. Press thumb into center of each ball. Drain cherries, reserving juice. Place a cherry in the center of each cookie.
In a small saucepan, melt chocolate chips and condensed milk. Stir in 4 tsp. cherry juice. Spoon 1 tsp. of the chocolate over each cherry to cover.
Bake @ 350º for 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Cool.
