Pudding:
5 whole eggs; 1 egg yolk
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
4 tbsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. vanilla
12 0z. day-old French bread
2 tbsp. butter
2 cups raisins
4 slices white bread

Sauce:
3 eggs
1 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsp. bourbon whiskey

Pudding:
Beat eggs and sugar. Add milk and cream. Add 2 tbsp. cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla.
Slice French bread. Butter a 9X13 pan and sprinkle bottom with 1/3 of the remaining cinnamon and 2/3 cups raisins. Place a layer of french bread over this and cover with 1/3 of the custard mixture. Repeat process making 3 total layers.
Top with 4 slices white bread and press down to soak into custard mixture.Cover with buttered foil. Place in pan of water and bake 1 hour @ 300º.

Sauce:
Whip eggs at high speed until soft peaks form. Slowly add butter. Add sugar and mix slowly until cool. Add bourbon and blend. Pour over warm pudding before serving.
