Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 stick of butter
1 small onion
garlic powder
1T flour
1 chicken bouillon cube
1 cup whole milk (could probably use cream or half and half also)
8oz cream cheese, at room temp
8 oz mascarpone cheese, at room temp
salt to taste
chopped basil

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onions in stick of butter and sprinkle with a little garlic powder. About 7 minutes.
Sprinkle 1 T or more of flour to make a rue.
Add 1 cup of milk and chicken bouillon cube and bring to boil.
Reduce heat to simmer and cook a couple more minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the cheeses. Stir until it melts and forms a sauce. Combine with 1 lb. cooked pasta. (I used fetteccini)
Season with salt and garnish with chopped basil and parmesan cheese.
I also usually add sauteed vegetables (peppers, zucchini and yellow squash) to the dish.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I just combined two alfredo sauce recipes because I didn't have all the ingredients for either of them and it came out pretty good so this is what I did. The directions also say to add the pasta to the mixture before the cheeses but when I did that it seemed like the cheeses stayed a little clumpy and didn't melt all the way. But it was still sooo good and not fattening at all. ha ha
