Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 stick butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 large can sliced peaches w/heavy syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Melt butter in baking dish. Set aside. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and flour. Stir in milk and vanilla, breaking up any clumps. Pour mixture over melted butter. DO NOT STIR. Carefully and evenly pour peaches (and juice) over mixture. Again, DO NOT STIR. Bake at 325º until a golden brown crust forms on top, about 45 minutes to an hour. Optional: Just before cobbler gets as brown as you like, sprinkle a little cinnamon/sugar mixture on top and then finish browning. Serve warm. Good by itself: even better with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
