1/2 cups butter, softened
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
1 T. baking powder
3/4 cups dried cranberries
3/4 cup vanilla or white chips

Directions:
Directions:
in a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder: gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in cranberries and vanilla chips. Divide dough into three portions. on ungreased baking sheets shape each portion into 10 inch x 2 inch rectangle. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Transfer to cutting board. cut diagonally with serrated knife into 1 inch slices. place cut side down on cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. store in air tight container
