Notes: Jim says: " When I first moved to Houston, Texas at the innocent age of 21 years, I was single and lived alone in a small apartment. The only thing I could make to eat was a "peanut butter & jelly" sandwich. Desperate to begin "COOKING" for myself (to survive) I went to the grocery store and ended up bringing home a box of KRAFT MACARONI & CHEESE. I carefully followed the directions and was amazed to actually "COOK" a delicious bowl of hot "macaroni & cheese." I was so proud of myself. For three nights I "COOKED" and ate the same meal - until I started to get sick of it. That's when I went to the library (there was no "Google" back then) and looked up a new recipe for "macaroni & cheese." It called for adding Kosher hot dogs. I was so happy. Now I had TWO meals I could cook: 1. Plain macaroni & cheese, and; 2. Plain macaroni & cheese with hot dogs. After a few more days I became sick of eating the same two things and decided to go back to the grocery store to find something new and different that I could "cook" and eat. As luck would have it, I then discovered Kraft Macaroni & Cheese - WITH CHEDDAR. Oh, wonderful, I thought... this gives me TWO more new meals to eat. So for the next six months, the following was my weekly dinner menu: Monday - Plain Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Tuesday - Plain Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (with Kosher hot dogs) Wednesday - Cheddar Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Thursday - Cheddar Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (with Kosher hot dogs) Friday - A BIG MAC from McDonald's After six months, I found a cute girlfriend who could cook!
