Aunt Merna's and Uncle Ole's was always a favorite place for most of us cousins to stay. Many memories were made at their home. One time Bob, Larry Lee and I were out there and the younger boys wanted to go swimming in the farm pond north of the house. Aunt Merna asked if I would kind of supervise the younger boys. We went swimming but when it was time to quit Bob and Larry Lee wouldn't get out of the water. After threatening and all other measures failed, I took their clothes (we didn't have swim trunks then) and told them they could get them off the front porch. I put their clothes on the front porch and advised Aunt Merna what I had done and asked her if she had her camera handy. She said she was out of film but the boys wouldn't know that. Soon they were sneaking behind the shop. Larry Lee had a wooden bushel basket hiding his privates and Bob was using a metal bucket. When they got near the house Aunt Merna stepped out with her camera. Of course the boys ran back behind the shop exposing their backsides. Finally after several tries we let them get their clothes. Never had any trouble with them after that when it was time to quit swimming. Was several years before they realized there wasn't any photos taken.
