10 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup melled flax seeds
1/2 pound unsweetened dried shredded coconut
1 cup sesame seeds
1 1/2 cups slivered almonds
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

1 cup brown sugar substitute (regular brown sugar can be used)
1 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup canola oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups dried (raisins, blueberries, cranberries) fruit

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.. Combine dry ingredients. Combine liquid ingredients in saucepan and heat until mixed - do not boil. Pour syrup over dry ingredients until well coated. Spread onto 3 cookie sheets. Bake 20-35 minutes at 300 degrees. Stir every 10-15 minutes. For crunchier granola, bake 10-15 minutes more. Cool and add fruit. Freeze or refrigerate up to 6 months.
