2 eggs
2 C. milk
1 T. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 scant tsp. vanilla
10 slices of Italian or French bread crusty (cubed)
raisins optional

Sauce
1/3 C. white sugar
1/3 C. brown sugar
2 T. flour
1 C. water
7 T. Butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Whip cream for topping if desired

Lightly butter a 4x7x2 baking dish and put bread cubes in it.
Mix together the rest of the ingredients for the bread pudding and pour over the bread cubes.
Bake at 350 for 50 - 60 minutes.

For the sauce: mix and cook sugars, flour and water over medium heat until flour is cooked.
Then add 7 T. butter. After it is cool add 1 tsp. vanilla and stir well.
After dishing up a serving of bread pudding, ladle over a scoop of sauce and top with whip cream.
