2 1/2 C. flour
1 1/2 C. sugar
3/4 C. baking cocoa
1 1/2 tsp, salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C. crisco oil
1 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 C. water (I sometimes substitute cold coffee for 1/2 the water)

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. I like to sift them together.
Mix wet ingredients separately then mix together.
Do not over mix just make sure to spread the wet ingredients through the dry so there are not lumps of dry ingredients. Pour into a 9 x 13 rectangle (ungreased).
Bake at 350º for approximately 25 min. Check with a sharp knife in the center.
