Ingredients:
Ingredients:
* 1-2 lbs. ground beef
* 2 russet potatoes - cubed (tiny cubes)
* 1-2 tbsp. vegetable oil
* 1-2 tsp. of minced fresh garlic
* 1/2 of a small onion - minced ***I've used Onion Powder and it's fine
* Soy Sauce - I recommend Silver Swan or Lauriat (not Kikoman)
* 1/2 cup - 1 cup of HOT water

*Cook White rice! - My favorite white rice is, Nishiki.

Directions:
Directions:
1. Fry potatoes with oil (add more oil if necessary)
2. When potatoes are crispy, drain and put off to the side
3. (Lower heat to medium) In the same pan, add a little bit of vegetable oil, add garlic and onions. (be careful not to let this burn)
4. Add ground beef and cook until meat is browned. *Draining fat is optional
5. Pour in Soy Sauce 1/2 a cup at a time - to taste. The taste you are looking for is a hint of soy sauce.
6. Add fried potatoes (If you find your mixture to be too salty, the potatoes will help soak up some of the saltiness)
7. Let simmer for about 8-10 minutes.
8. If the pan looks dry, or the potatoes are under cooked, pour some water in the pan and cover on low heat for about five minutes.

****This dish can't be without COLD DILL PICKLES and Sriracha!!!!! Another yummy way to eat this is with Ketchup and Tobasco (I know, sounds gnarly, but this was how I like it!)
Total comfort food as this was a favorite dish for my brothers and me =)
