Venison hind leg or shoulder cubed and grisle removed
5 # onions chopped
2 large can crushed tomatos
whole dried red peppers
1/2 gl homemade wine or sweet wine
1/4 c mustard
1/4 c brown sugar
5 cloves crushed garlic
black pepper to taste ( have plenty on hand)

In a large stew pot add all ingredients. The liquid should barely cover the meat and onions. Start with a boiling pot and reduce stock. Now reduce temp to med. low and simmer all day stirring frequently (our rule: you can't go in the kitchen without stirring the pot). The meat should fall apart and onions melt into the meat. Season to your desired taste. Always a favorite of Dad's.
