3/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp water
3/4 flour
1/4 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1-6oz pkg chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan combine sugar, shortening and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Beat eggs in, 1 at time. Stir together flour, salt and soda and stir into chocolate mixture along with nuts. Turn batter into a greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes. Cool and cut.
