Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375-400 degrees
Put out cookie sheets sprayed with cooking oil.
Ready the counter or a large cutting bowl with some flour for a quick kneading of the scone dough.

In large bowl, mix first three ingredients. This is the dry bowl. Mix well. Then in a smaller bowl mix the wet ingredients, the second 3 ingredients. Mix well. Then pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture.
Mix to a play dough texture; dough should come off the side of the bowl easily.

Place some flour on the counter or board for kneading. Lightly flour your hands, then take half the dough and make into a ball, kneading lightly. flatten ball to make a circle about 1 inch thick all around. Take large knife, cover with flour and cut like a pizza into 8 pieces. Place separately, not touching, onto greased pans. Repeat with second half of dough.
Optional: for a nice sheen, brush with egg yolk.

Bake for 15-17 min. in preheated oven at 375 to 400 degrees. Watch bottoms carefully not to burn.

(*Note, some people like BIG scones--make just one circle of all the dough and cut. Add 5 minutes to baking time. )
