2 c sugar
1 c butter flavored crisco
1 c sour cream
1 c nuts- finely crushed almonds
2 eggs
1 t almond extract
1 t soda
pinch of salt
1/2 t cardamom
flour to make a stiff dough approximate 3 cups added 1 cup at a time

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar and add eggs, then stir in cream. Sift flour into same bowl with soda and salt. Add nuts. Roll dough into long rolls about 3/4 in thick. Bake on a long pan in 325 º oven about 35 min. Then cut on the bias while warm about 1/2 in thick. Dry in oven until light brown.
