1 cup white sugar
1/4 c brown sugar packed
1/2 c shortening or crisco
1 egg
1 c buttermilk
3 1/2 c flour
1/4 t salt
1 t baking soda
1/2 t baking powder
1 T vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix in order. Chill three hours. Pre heat to 400º. Roll walnut sized ball.
roll into a 4 in "snake". Twist to a figure 8. Flour board and hands.
Bake on cookie sheets til very lightly baked. Spread with frosting and
sprinkles.
