"The tradition of Italian cooking is that of the matriarch. This is the cooking of grandma. She didn't waste time thinking too much about the celery. She got the best celery she could and then she dealt with it."--Mario Batali

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
2 cans biscuits
salt and pepper
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Boil the chicken in plenty of water to cover it. When it's done, set it aside to cool and debone it. Roll out the biscuits in a bit of flour and slice in thin strips. Cook in the broth from the chicken, watch to make sure they don't stick and burn. Add salt and pepper. When they are almost done, add the chicken, and milk. Add as much milk as you like. If you want them thicker, add less milk, or if you want them more "juicy," add more. Cook until dumplings are done.

Personal Notes:
These are the best chicken and dumplings in the world, named as favorite food by everyone I ever knew. Amen.
