1 lb. lean hamburger
5 3/4 cups tomato juice
1 cup USA lentils, rinsed and drained
1 cup diced carrots
1 cup diced cabbage
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. green pepper
1 bay leaf

Directions:
In large stock pot over medium-high heat, brown
hamburger until crumbly. Drain. Add tomato juice
and 4 cups water. Bring to a boil. Add remaining
ingredients. Bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and
simmer 1 1/2 hours.

(Only 176 calories and 4 grams of fat per serving and
it's really good. It also freezes well.)
