Ingredients:  
1 cup cocoa 2 cups cold water
2 cups sugar 1/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt 4 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cocoa, sugar and salt well and add water slowly, stirring
to form a smooth paste. Add corn syrup and boil for 5 minutes
to cook the starch of the cocoa thoroughly. Remove from heat
and add vanilla. Spoon syrup over yellow cake (Mom always
used a boxed yellow cake). Store leftover syrup in refrigerator.
