1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup Special K, or Rice Krispies (crushed to about 1/2 cup)
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts
1/2 cup coconut

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 30 degrees. Spray baking sheets with Pam.
2. Combine shortening and butter until light and fluffy. Add sugars, beat again. Then add milk and vanilla. Beat slowly until all are well blended.
Add eggs, beat until well blended.
3. Combine dry ingredients, gradually add to shortening mixture. Stir in oats, Special K, chocolate chips, nuts and coconut.
4. Scoop dough (approximately 1/4 cup) and place on pregreased cookie sheet.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 13 minutes. Do not overbake.
